Splunk UI: Integrate Splunk API with external UI components

hi,
anyone working on app to externalise UI components outside of Splunk XML?
I'm looking for external UI like form.io which have done all the hard-work to use drag & drop UI HTML5 components which can be integrated to any API's.

Just checking if anyone have started a similar project or app? Else I will have a go from scratch

Splunk ITSI and Enterprise Security have a feature called glass tables. Have you seen it?

yes, but that is tightly coupled within Splunk.
The whole point is a completely detached UI by just using Splunk's API
