Splunk ServiceNow Integration encrypting data?

We have installed the ServiceNow integration in our splunk instance and are getting data through from our Snow instance. We have noticed that some fields seem to be encrypted. Is this something we need to change on the ServiceNow side or is it something we need to change on the Splunk integration? An example would be cmdb_ci looks like this cmdb_ci=f97dcb156fdd1140436a5afc5d3ee4cf

Anyone any ideas?

Not encrypting data at all but showing reference values rather than display values. Now if I go only figure out how to get splunk integration to fix this. Reference Snow wiki look for Direct Web Services section 5 for detail. Can't include link no karma.
