Splunk DB Connect vs Sqlsentry

is there any advantages if we build the dashboards which are existing in sqlsentry, on splunk db connect app? which one is better to monitor sql server performance?

how can we store logs from splunk db connect app dashboards , which are built by user, say i have built a dashboard to monitor longest running queries using DMVs, how do i store the results in the log files?
