Splunk Add-on for NetApp Data ONTAP: Using heavy forwarder as data collection node

Hi,
Our environment consists of the following:

1x Heavy Forwarder
Splunk Cloud instance

When using the Add-on for NetApp, can I use the HF as the data collection node? Or does it have to be a separate server?

Cheers.

Yes, that's basically what you do - similiar to the VMware app. Take a look at the docs: https://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/NetApp/2.1.91/DeployNetapp/HowthisappfitsintotheSplunkpicture

Thanks for the reply.
Looking at the documentation it does seem to specifiy the data collection node needs to be a separate server however?
