Splunk AWS Add-In - unable to add Account

Hi all,

I have a challenge to add an account to the aws_plugin for splunk.
It seems not to be a permission issue, the error definitely shows that the form trys to post to a non existent location(api).

Anybody a clue, why it is using /splunk/ instead of /Splunk_TA_Aws/ (or similar...) ?

The final solution was to install splunk itself in the standard directory /opt/splunk ... I had it installed on a different location and after also trying to put a link into /opt/splunk (which also did not work out) I installed it there and moved the "big-data" directories.

No it is working as it should.
Thanks anyway for any hint, appreciate your time and effort !

Stab in the dark, are you using SSL or FIPS?

Not sure about that, I have changed nothing after the Standard installation, so I assume it is Standard ssl ... Anyway, the error message shows that it want acces the context /splunk/ which onviously does not exist if I surf through the atom feed of the api, the right context would be splunk_TA_aws ... Sonseems somewhere a configuration might be wrong which I am not able to find ...

okay, best thing to do then is to follow these instructions http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/AddOns/latest/Overview/Troubleshootadd-ons and then open a ticket so we can figure out what's different between your installation and all the other ones 🙂
