Retention Question

Hello Experts,

Here's my scenario. Splunk Instance Old & Splunk Instance New (Virtual). If we pull out the license from Old instance to new, how long users can search data on Old Instance? I am assuming 60 as it's pretty much a free Splunk ENT?

Thanks in advance,
Cheers,
Raghav

Link your old instance as a license slave to the new instance, then your users can search old data for as long as your license is valid.
