Hi All,
We have installed splunk (6.2.2-255606) in a linux server, In the same server we have installed weblogic server (10.3.6) and both applications are up & running. Here we are trying to integrate this weblogic applications with splunk.
Using Splunk Weblogic Addon : splunk_10-beta2
We have deployed this add-on file "oracle-weblogic-app-for-splunk_10-beta2.tgz" in the splunk application. Then we have modified the inputs.conf and setWlstEnv.sh as per the TA installation documnet according to our weblogic server details. Later we placed the files under $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/deployment-apps/Function1_WebLogicServer_TA/local/inputs.conf folder & $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/deployment-apps/Function1_WebLogicServer_TA/bin/setWlstEnv.sh folder. After doing all this changes, we tried to access "Oracle Weblogic App for Splunk" apps in splunk application.
Once we click that app tab, its re-directing to another page, there we are getting the below error,
Splunk encountered the following unknown module: "SideviewUtils" . The view may not load properly.
Splunk encountered the following unknown module: "Search" . The view may not load properly.
Splunk encountered the following unknown module: "HTML" . The view may not load properly.
Splunk encountered the following unknown module: "Pulldown" . The view may not load properly. etc,
Please advise regarding this error. Let us know do we need to do any changes.
Thanks,
Athish
You will need to download the sideviewutils supporting application which is leveraged by the Oracle Weblogic App for Splunk application.
Dear ,
Good Day

Hi Athish,
Shogan_splunk is absolutely right. This version of the Oracle Weblogic App for Splunk indeed leverages Sideview Utils for certain XML modules. It is also not fully supported in the latest version of Splunk, but a new version is right around the corner. This new version of the app will also not require the download and installation of Sideview Utils. Please check back soon on Splunkbase for the new app!
Hi Shogan,
Thanks for the update, after deploying the side view utils in splunk. The Oracle Weblogic App for Splunk is working fine.

Athish
