Oracle Add on with AWS RDS

I have an AWS RDS Oracle DB and am collecting logs and metrics using the AWS add-on. Do I have to use DB connect also?

If not, how do I install and configure the Oracle Add On to associate to those other inputs and correctly apply field extractions, transforms, etc? Currently the log events are just one big field with a timestamp when they come from AWS

Sorry for such a late reply.  You can use either DBConnect or send the rds logs via AWS Cloudwatch and bring the data to Splunk using AWS TA for Splunk using sqs based s3 inputs.
