OPSEC LEA - persistent connection?

Does this app maintain a persistent connection, or is it similiar to the existing one, where a script wakes up every XX seconds and runs?

Version 2.0 Beta polls for new data per the scripted input interval. We looked in to real-time/persistent connections, but we decided that it would be too hard for this version. That said, we are considering this feature for future versions of the app.
