*NIX app not support HP-UX?

Hi

I need *NIX app support HP-UX.

Any users out there try to modify /unix/bin/xxx.sh ? or to make it work on HP-UX?

Unfortunately, as per the *nix app documentation (for version 4.6) on page 5:

"Both the full app and the TA will install on Splunk instances running on many versions of Unix, including Linux, Solaris, and AIX. However, neither the app nor the TA function on any version of HP/UX."

I updated a few of the scripts to try it out and turned them on in inputs.conf. The scripts work but the data isn't showing up on the server. E.g.:

$ ./Splunk_TA_nix/bin/iostat.sh

Are you sure you have the input enabled in inputs.conf? Is there anything in splunkd.log of the forwarder or the indexer? Did you verify that you are looking in the correct index (index=os by default).

No, we don't have support for HP-UX at this time. It is something that is being considered for a future release.

Was there any advancement with the splunk agent to support HPUX os ?
