Message Trace support using Reporting Webservice API is going to be deprecated by April and will be replaced by Message Trace Support Using Graph API is now in Public Preview, when we can get change in current Message Trace in current Addon

This is a Splunk supported Add-On, therefore the best approach for this would be to raise a Support Case (https://splunk.my.site.com/customer/s/need-help/create-case) and they may be able to share future roadmaps or ETA for this with you.
