Is it possible to run adhoc sql query in Search app through DB Connect 2 without indexing?

I understand we can run adhoc sql queries without indexing in DB Connect 1 in the Search app:

|dbquery DB_Connection_Name "<sql query>"

Is it possible to do the same in DB Connect 2? If yes, could you please let me know how?

Yes. DB Connect 2 has a dbxquery command - it can do similar things as dbquery, but is built differently and has different syntax.
