Installing Splunk on Splunk App

Hi,

I am planing to install S.o.S on my Splunk environement. I need to know can I install this during the normal business hours? Does it need a restart of the Splunk?

I am installing this so it will give me insight to the Splunk performances and indexing.

yes it will require restart.

If standalone then the main app needs to be installed.

If distributed the main app on the search head only and Splunk on Splunk technology add-on (S.o.S TA) on search peers to provide resource usage information to S.o.S.
