How to set the default selected value in Pulldown?

How do I set the default value for a Pulldown where the contents are a hardcoded list of values?

e.g. I don't want it to be the first value.

You give the particular option a little "selected" entry, like so:

  <list>
    <param name="label">this is the option label</param>
    <param name="value">myOptionValue</param>
    <param name="selected">True</param>
  </list>

I just noticed that this is omitted in the docs page dedicated to statically-configuring the Pulldown module. I will add a note to that page for the next release. Thanks.
