How to configure PRTG to Splunk?

Hi,

I need Paessler Router Traffic Grapher(PRTG) to connect to Splunk and I already configured the prtg.conf file as required but it doesn't seem to be working.

  1. Is there any additional configuration that I should be doing?
  2. In the normal search app we used the indexer to start a search, so this prtg will need the indexer too?

    [default]
    server=(IP addrs PRTG)
    protocol=http
    user=prtgadmin
    password=password

I found the solution on this...from splunkbase, just to config is in prtg.conf in \local only.
Install PRTG on your splunk then please check if the \local file it is exist on PRTG file, if not please make folder local then relocate prtg.conf at \default to \local folder. then please set the credential as you PRTG credential. I already success by follow this step

[default]
server=(IP addrs PRTG)
protocol=http
user=prtgadmin
password=password

Is PRTG app installed on deployment server then deployed out to forwarders and installed?

It looks like someone else has done this before you. Have you looked at the PRTG app (https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/3282/)?

yes i had look at PRTG app on that link and I found the \local is not exist after I install it on splunk.
so I follow the link, where i need to config the prtg.conf on \local. I create the \local on PRTG then relocate the prtg.conf at \default to \local

I had look up at PRTG app and all it seem same as my prtg search command but the data not show up.
Did I need to config anything at PRTG server?

I'm not familiar with PRTG, but the app's documentation should explain what needs to be done on the PRTG server.
