Flow Map Viz Token Reset

Is it possible to reset the value of setting the value of  $flow_map_viz-drilldown$ when clicking on the white space of the diagram?

I'm using it to control granularity of a drilldown based on clicking the node and wanted to reset the granularity when the user clicks on the whitespace in the diagram for example.
