Does the Postgres app require a separate user? What permission should be assigned to it?

Thanks for any information.

Thanks for you response. My problem is that I am not certain whether I should use an existing user for statistical view, or whether I require a new one. The documentation does not specify the level of permission for the user it describes.

Postgres App does not appear, based on the documentation, to need anything different than any other Splunk app. The permissions you assign depend on your own installation, users and roles, data segmentation and segregation needs, policies, and anything else that affects your particular mixture of users and data sources.

If it is not working as expected, please post specifics on what problem(s) you see and what you have tried to do for fixing it.
