Does Add-on AMQP Messaging Modular Input now implement AMQP 0.9.1 or 1.0?

Hi there does this addon now implement AMQP 0.9.1 or 1.0?
Im now assuming 0.9.1 because that is what RabbitMQ officially supports. Or does this now mean that it also supports AMQP compliant brokers other than rabbitMQ, using the rabbitMQ (experimental?) client?

RabbitMQ will therefore continue to support AMQP 0-9-1 (and its close relatives 0-9 and 0-8) indefinitely. RabbitMQ is unlikely ever to support AMQP 0-10."

We're currently looking to connect Splunk with Microsoft Service Bus 1.1 which supports AMQP v1.0.

While looking for an alternative to the AMQP Modular Input we've considered amending the JMS Modular Input http://apps.splunk.com/app/1317/ with AMQP v1.0 capable JMS libraries as per http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/service-bus-java-how-to-use-jms-api-amqp/

However, so far we've had little success in getting the two parties to play along nicely... likely due to a lack of JMS expertise.

If Mathias or anyone else gets that to work we'd be very interested 🙂

As far as I understand the description on the RabbidMQ website is that v1.0 is very different from v0.9.x. Does that mean that compliant brokers are backwards compatible ?

Simply just docs gremlins. I was trying 1.0 in intial dev and prototyping before reverting back to 0.9.
