Deep Learning Toolkit setup with Splunk running in Docker

I am running splunk with a free license in a docker container on a ubuntu system.  I am using the MLTK and also want to use the Deep Learning Toolkit.  The install/configure instructions seem to assume that splunk is running directly on the machine and communicating with the docker daemon.

Is it possible to run splunk in docker and use the DLTK?  How is it configured?
