DB Connect Issue - 2 dbs on same server

Hi fellow Splunkers,

I encountered an issue that I am unable to query two DBs on the same server. The situation is the following:

I have two dbs prd and prd1 on the same server and I am trying to run a report that includes schemas on both these dbs.

If I open the report the queries time out with this error:

"Connection is not available, request timed out after 30000ms."

Also if I have both dbs active under my DBX identities and connection querying does not work correctly and queries time out if they are enabled at the same time.

Has anybody encountered this issue before with two different dbs on the same server and how did you solve it?

Thank you,

Oliver

I added these two settings here into db_connections.conf :

disabled = 0
useConnectionPool = 1

Not sure if that will help. I am running a timed pdf delivery for management so I wouldn't want the searches to time out and send the pdf with errors.

I run into this problem every so often. If I wait 10 minutes or so and run the search again, it generally goes away. A bit annoying, however.
