DB Connect Enable jConnect Password Encryption

The Sybase DB I'm trying to connect to requires password encryption enabled. Does anyone know how to modify driver properties in DB Connect? I can't find any options in the GUI for this.

Thanks!

My solution was to modify the connection settings in db_connection_types.conf

There is a parameter, connection_properties, which you can add.
https://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/DBX/3.1.4/DeployDBX/databasespec

It accepts the properties in JSON format and the key needs to match the jConnect property names.
http://infocenter.sybase.com/help/index.jsp?topic=/com.sybase.infocenter.dc39001.0605/html/prjdbc/pr...

e.g.

[sybase_ase]
displayName = Sybase ASE (jConnect)
serviceClass = com.splunk.dbx2.SybaseJConnectJDBC
jdbcUrlFormat = jdbc:sybase:Tds:<host>:<port>/<database>
jdbcDriverClass = com.sybase.jdbc4.jdbc.SybDriver
supportedVersions = 7.0
database = master
port = 5000
ui_default_schema = dbo
connection_properties = {"ENCRYPT_PASSWORD":"true","RETRY_WITH_NO_ENCRYPTION":"true"}
