Cisco Meraki Presence Modular Input: Why am I getting "Error running Meraki HTTP Server: [Errno -2] Name or service not known"?

Running Splunk on port 443 and trying to use the Cisco Meraki Presence Modular Input. Data input has everything filled out correctly to my knowledge and below are relevant fields

http web server port: 80
http web server bind address: http://splunk.foo.bar/events

When I tail splunkd.log I see the following when enabling the input "Error running the Meraki HTTP Server: [Errno -2] Name or service not known" Is this because I'm running Splunk on port 443? Any ideas what I can do to get this working?

http web server bind address: http://splunk.foo.bar/events

That is not a bind address , that is a URL.
The server bind address is your machine's host name.
