Does the Avaya Call Add-On require (or support) the use of a SMDR Delta Server?
For Example:
https://downloads.avaya.com/elmodocs2/ip_office/DOCS3_0/DATA/Additional/mergedProjects/smdr/index.ht...
Please confirm implementation steps:
- Install SMDR Delta Server
- Configure IPOffice to Write to SMDR Delta Server
- Install Splunk Universal Forwarder on SMDR Delta Server
- Configure Server Class with SMDR Delta Server and Avaya CALL sourcetype in Splunk
Is this the correct methodology?

Avaya Call Add-On completely replaces Delta server.
For the correct methodology, watch : Enabling AVAYA IP OFFICE SMDR

All IPO500s can output SMDR directly (as above). Delta server was used on very old systems that could not do this.
