All Apps and Add-ons

After upgrading the Splunk App for Web Analytics to version 1.5, local.meta has testing stanzas that should probably be removed

I just upgraded to version 1.5 of the Splunk App for Web Analytics, and I ran into a couple of issues. One was previously answered, about only one of the eventtypes being set to global. When I saw this error, I took a look at the local.meta file, and there are a lot of entries that I think you might want to clear out for the next release.

Stanzas I saw that should probably be removed would be the [inputs] ones, like:

inputs/monitor%3A%2F%2F%24SPLUNK_HOME%2Fetc%2Fapps%2FSplunkAppForWebAnalytics%2Fsampledata%2Fiis.log

One that also might want to be app specific (currently global) is below, but it doesn't seem to be affecting anything so far.

[tags/eventtype%3Dweb-traffic]

Thanks, keep up the great work!

Hi Jim

All event types should have been set to "App" in the latest release. However, if you are upgrading and have previously made any change to a configuration, this configuration will be stored in the local folder and thus overwriting any change that might have come from the upgrade. This could lead to single configurations still being global even after upgrade. I double checked and for a clean install everything is set to "App".

As for the data inputs. They are turned off by default and included in the package as sample data. I refer to these two inputs in the documentation.
