The NetKit App provides visualization dashboards and alerting for network performance and TLS certificate monitoring in Splunk Cloud and Enterprise environments. It displays ping latency trends, internet speedtest throughput measurements, and TLS certificate expiry and validation status collected by the companion NetKit Add-on. The app ships five Dashboard Studio views covering ping trends, speedtest trends, certificate monitoring, availability KPIs, and add-on health metrics. Three saved searches monitor certificate expiration, validation failures, and certificate changes. The app performs search-time field extraction and CIM normalization for netkit:ping, netkit:speedtest, and netkit:tls sourcetypes, mapping them to the Network Traffic and Certificates data models. It does not collect data; the NetKit Add-on must run on a full Splunk Enterprise instance to produce the events these dashboards consume.
