Downloaded the programm yesterday. Since then i cannot login because it says "username or password invalid". I ve changed the password and retyped the forms a thousand times. Is there any solution? Thank you in advance.
Assuming you don't mind resetting everything to default values, you can go to $SPLUNK_HOME/bin and run "splunk clean all".
This will reset all the data, as well as the user accounts. You'll then login as "admin" with a password of "changeme".
