At Cisco, purpose isn’t a tagline—it’s a commitment. Cisco’s FY25 Purpose Report outlines how the company is working to power an inclusive future for all, with education recognized as the ultimate equalizer for building opportunity in the digital era. That vision is grounded in four pillars—Community Resilience, Our People, Responsible Innovation, and Energy and Sustainability—and brought to life through programs that create real access to skills, careers, and technology. 

We’re proud that the Splunk Academic Alliance is featured in this year’s report as a small but mighty example of that purpose in action. The program is designed to meet learners where they are—providing students, faculty, and IT staff at nonprofit colleges and universities with free Splunk training and industry-recognized certifications. As cybersecurity and data roles continue to evolve, Splunk Academic Alliance has expanded to include hands-on learning with Splunk Enterprise Security and Splunk SOAR, helping learners build skills in incident detection, response, and automation—areas the Splunk Community knows are more critical than ever. 

The impact is global and growing. In the past year alone, Splunk Academic Alliance supported more than 31,000 enrollments and trained 16,000 learners across 44 countries, with innovative programs at institutions like the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Louisiana State University, and California Polytechnic State University.
