host name from path using regex

I'm trying to learn some regex and I was hoping to get the host name from the path when entering a new data source, but I can't figure this out.

My UNC looks like this:

\\sacapp038\c$\Program Files\Tivoli\TSM\baclient\dsmerror.log

and I want to use a regex like this:

\\\\(\w+)\\

But I'm definitely not getting the concept, as this does not work at all.

Can someone assist ?

Thanks, Aaron

Looks like I answered my own question ... That last bit worked.

Should I use something like this instead?

\\\\(\w+)\\.*.\.log

Worked fine. Thanks!
