I recently heard about flashtimeline.
I tried to see how it look like but there was no screenshot of it.
where can i find it?
I am using splunk 6.0.1ver .
what else do i need to use flashtimeline ?

In order to open flashtimeline in Splunk 6 you first need to remove this from the <view> tag:
<view>
type="redirect" target="search"
Else you'll keep getting redirected to the new search view.
What tag are you referring to?
As @Martin said its still there but not set as default. You can access it from Search & Reporting ->Dashboards -> Search (this is name/title of the view). Or by launching this http://yourhost:8000/en-US/app/search/flashtimeline
flashtimeline was the default search view in Splunk prior to version 6. It's been superseded by search.
