some datasets are large and when configuring an spl and changing the time range picker, it triggers the search to run at change. Is there a way to disable automatic search execution when a user changes the time range?

Hi @lady_bl00dst0n3

Are you referring to when you are writing a search in the search bar?

Unfortunately Im not aware of any settings that can be changed to prevent this auto-running like you can on a dashboard.

You have to do this manually, or if you able to build a python script, then you can build and disable the searches.

Is this in a dashboard?

If so, just remove the dependency between the time picker and the search, such that, even if the time picker is changed by the user, the search does not trigger.
