Searching Columns - Splunk Community

Splunk Search

Hi All,

I am new to splunk and when I try to search an excel file with one of the columns like id i am not getting any result.Can you please help me.

It looks like Excel as data input is not really supported unless its converted to csv format (may be using script). See here.

how do you search the file? it is indexed or you are using any direct input method?
