That probably indicates that some knowledge object is defined within the search app which is not defined where you are running the dash (or vice versa).
Run the job each way for a very short time frame (so you get a job completion). Then look at the job inspector for each of those searches, and see what the differences are in the search language. Look as well at what is taking up the extra time. After you have that info, come back and give us more detail, so we can tell you how to proceed.
