Read contents of a file in GIT based version control Bitbucket

Hi,

I need help/advice on how to read contents of a file that is version controlled in GIT based application Bitbucket. I have data in a file in bitbucket in json format I want to read the content of that file and build reports out of it. I have some idea on how to build the report but need assistance on how to read the data from file in bitbucket
