Radio Button default selection parameter (Advanced XML)

In a StaticSelect module, the parameter to set the pre-selected value is:

But when I try to use that for a staticRadio module, I get an error when I try to save the XML.

No matter what I try, I can't get a radio button to be selected by default.

What's the paramter I'm missing?

The param I use is almost the same except I have "checked" instead of "selected. Like so:
