How to pass dynamic value from one view to another view?

To pass data between views, you will need to either hack the javascript, or far preferable, use sideview_utils from Splunkbase, which makes this process easy. Using sideview does require that you re-tool your views, and that they be written in the advanced xml, but if you need to drill down across different modules, sideview_utils is the way to go.
