PDFServer cant contact appserver: Proxy Authentication Required

Hi All

my PDFserver cant contact the appserver. Both are running on the same host. How do I set these kind of props for the pdfserver? Is it picking up environment settings? is it some incantation I need to pass to the Firefox instance the pdfServer uses?

Many thanks... Tim

I eventually sorted it out.. Needed to create a firefox profile, get rid of the proxy things, then enable SSL and manage all the certificate exceptions.

I'm not sure how the profile could end up with proxy settings - the PDF app creates a temporary home directory, a fresh profile and strips environment variables (such as http_proxy) every time, before starting Firefox. It also primes Firefox with relevant SSL certificate overrides so none of this should be necessary.

I'd love to hear from you if you have insight as to what was going wrong with the setup.

I recommend you review the debugging wiki here:

It sounds like you first need to debug the logs to see the exact problem, then address the problem based on suggestions within the wiki.
