McAfee data ingested into Splunk not parsing correctly. How do I fix it? I am getting a lot of junk. Please advise how I make the data readable?

Please provide us more details regarding you problem.

Are you using or created any add-on for that specific data source?
What do you mean "not parsing correctly"? can you provide examples of the "junk"?
What input mechanism are you using? (File monitor, udp/tcp inputs, etc)

------------
Hope I was able to help you. If so, some karma would be appreciated.

Thank u for your reply. The McAfee data has the following problems. It looks like the format is wrong, for example quotation marks are &quot, and less than symbol is &lt. In addition, data seem to wrap across multiple log events. Please advise & Thank u
