Splunk Search

Lookup query

hi
for this ..|lookup keywords match output keyword
where keywords.csv is my lookup whwre i need to put in in mycompuetr actually i wiil ket it in
D drive in my computer so do i nedd to change in any configuration files for this.
Can any one help on this?

You should place the lookup file in your app directory, so for example if you are just using the default "search" app you would put it in (assuming Splunk is installed in "Program Files" under D drive:

 D:\Program Files\Splunk\etc\apps\search\lookups\keywords.csv

Or if you have set up your own app, for example "myApp", you would put it:

 D:\Program Files\Splunk\etc\apps\myApp\lookups\keywords.csv

You will also need to create/edit a transforms.conf file in the same directory to tell Splunk to use the lookup:

 D:\Program Files\Splunk\etc\apps\<appName>\local\transforms.conf

And with the contents of (where the file is new):

[keywords]
filename = keywords.conf

You do not need to restart Splunk for this usually.
