Is there a way to hide column in a table but still use it for drilldown in HTML Dashboards in Splunk 6

I have a scenario where I have a table panel
I would like to hide the last column of that table but still be able to pass value in that column to a drilldown.

I am trying this in splunk 6 HTML dashboards.

I tried using jquery and hide..but nothing seems to work

greatly appreciated if someone could help

Much easier way is here in the first answer: https://answers.splunk.com/answers/204419/do-this-in-simple-xml.html

This snipped of CSS should get you started:

div#id_of_your_panel th:last-child,
div#id_of_your_panel td:last-child {
  display: none;
}

It'll hide the last column from view, but you can still refer to it in drilldowns using $row.field_name$.
