Splunk Search

How to see SPLUNk.d log?

Is it possible to see the Splunk the log in the graphical user interface (the web interface), supposedly you can see it somewhere in settings but I don't see that is there any way to see the SplunkD.,log in the gui. I don't currently have command line access to the Splunk host. thanks for anything you can tell me.

You can see what's in splunkd.log with this search, assuming you have access to the _internal index

index=_internal source=*splunkd.log

Hey thanks for any help you can give, I'm new to Splunk but I am a pretty experienced engineer but this thing seems to be beating me up quite a bit I inherited a mess as far as I can tell.
