How to put search result to google map ?

HI,

I would like to put search output to google maps. At the momement I`m not talking about geoip or something similar used to network tracking. I simply would like to visualize data on google maps.

Script from my server generating this kind of output which is send to SPlunk indexer:

App City A - Running
App City B - Not running
App City C - Running

etc.etc.

For each city I would like to create marker on googlemaps page with information: "Running" or "Not Running".

How to do it ? I suspect that is not possible with Splunk.

I`m using Splunk 5 with googlemaps module.

THanks in advance for support

Konrad

There is an example in the Splunk 6 Dashboard Examples App but it doesn't use the Google Maps app. It is more difficult to do in Splunk 5 so I suggest using Splunk 6.

http://apps.splunk.com/app/1603/

Look at Examples -> Layout Examples -> Image Overlay with Single Values. You'll need to provide the app image and then you can add your markers on that image.
