How to hide a chart in Splunk without using Sideview Utils?

Without using Sideview Utils how to hide a chart in splunk.Can we achieve this using simple or advance xml?

By hiding do you mean hide chart untill drilldowm event occurs??
In that case you can use the depends-rejects while setting tokens.
