Splunk Search

How to debug "Server error"

Hello,

 

the server only says "Server error" in search&reporting without showing "inspect job", how can I debug it?

Now it switched to

502 Bad Gateway

One question remains: If the splunk employees themselves aren't able to properly operate a splunk server, how should this ever be possible for their non splunk employees? (Problems are on elearninglab1.class.splunk.com)
