Splunk Search

How can I test out my Splunk searches without having to install Splunk? Is there a tool available?

I want to verify the correctness of my searches without using the Splunk server. It will be good enough if I can copy my sample logs in a file and then run my new search with a Splunk query tool (if such a thing exists) and verify the results to ensure the correctness of my search.

There is no such query tool, sorry! However, you could install a copy of Splunk on your laptop along with a few sample files. You could use the free license, and then test your queries there.
