Feature Request: add support for middle click on chart data point

In a splunk dashboard you can click a data point which will navigate the current page to the results that drove that. If you then want to look at another point, you have to go back and wait for the chart to reload before clicking another point. This is slow and causes needless load.

You can use a middle click to open regular html links in a new tab. Please add an event listener for middle click and spawn a new tab with the results on data points and the line labels in the legend. This change would make my life much easier.

@swazimodo a screenshot (or mock whiteboard diagram) of the flow of what you intend to do would help community members assist you better.

However, to answer your question, Simple XML Dashboards allow you to extend your own expected functionalities by using Simple XML JS Extension and Splunk JS Stack.

This is not the place for ERs. Submit it via the Support Portal.

I don't have a support contract but this seems like a no brainer feature request. My other feature request would be to have a portal for freature requests. Why they make it so hard to hear from thier customers.
