Error on connection Mysql connector app

Not sure of the cause of this error? #

(2013, 'Lost connection to MySQL server during query')
Have verified UID and PWD.

Using MYSQL 5.5 on windows. Splunk 4.3.2 running on Ubuntu64 AMD
