Splunk Search

Can Splunk perform multiple searches using a single request and return the results separately?

I am querying Splunk REST API and wish to send multiple queries in a single POST request. Is it possible to get separate results for multiple searches using a single request?

For example, I have two queries say:
1. search index=apps | search appname=A| timechart span=1d app_count
2. search index=apps | search appname=B| timechart span=1d app_count

Instead of making two separate post requests, can I do it in a single request and get separate results?

Well for your specific case I think it works.

You would get the timechart count by appname and then post process search it by filtering the app you want to see
