Any way to highlight a new entry in a real-time search?

Is there a way to highlight a new entry that comes in through real-time search (change background/font color temporarily)? I'd like to leave a dashboard up on a secondary monitor, and it would help if there was a way to nicely indicate a new entry to look at.
