Splunk Search

After upgrading to Splunk 7.2, how come I'm unable to sort or click on links?

My team recently upgraded to Splunk 7.2, but unfortunately, I am unable to click on any links under reports, alerts, or jobs. Even with the alerts that I have created myself, I cannot "open in search" with any of them. I cannot sort any columns either, which i find totally bizarre. Is this an issue with permissions? Or is it a bug?

I was moved from power user to admin and now it works. Why would sorting/links be associated with permissions?
