how to troubleshoot Splunk Web-interface opening to a blank page?

When starting splunk: Splunk web-interface doesnt open and goes to blank page but I can go to 127.0.01:8000

attached is snippit of issue

Verify you have the right name configured in web.conf.  Check that DNS is working correctly and that the firewalls allow connections to that address.
